The remit of the ASAB Ethics Committee is to:
- Promote the ethical treatment of animal subjects used in research
- Advise ASAB Council and members on ethical issues which affect them in the process of designing and conducting ethological research
- Advise the scientific and teaching community on current best practice with respect to the treatment of animals used in research and teaching
- Ethically review scientific papers submitted to the journal Animal Behaviour
